ROOTING GALAXY Y AND INSTALLING CUSTOM ROM

Galaxy Y has Been one of the Most Successful Android Devices in India and Various Other Countries. Affordable, Android and Admirable. Although Galaxy Y has been very Popular, I have had Bad Experiences with it.
Continuous Lagging, Slow Processor, Low Internal Memory, ARMv6 GPU,etc are some of the Negative Points to be Considered Before Buying a Galaxy Y. However, most of these Drawbacks can be easily Removed by Rooting your Galaxy Y.
You can OverClock your Device to around 1.2GHz and Can increase You Internal Memory to Around 2- 4GB. Below are the Specifications of an Unrooted, Factory Provided Galaxy Y-

Samsung Galaxy Y S5360-

  • 180 MB INTERNAL MEMORY
  • 290 MB user available RAM
  • Android OS, v2.3.5 (Gingerbread)
  • 830 MHz ARMv6

    1. The above mentioned Rom wont work for You. Instead try this http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1854254 for your Galaxy y Duos. Make sure you have rooted your Device and made a complete nandroid backup before changing the Rom or Kernel..

First tell me if you have freshly installed this Rom over Stock ROM or have your installed it over a custom rom?
The best solution to your problem would be-
    1}Boot to recovery
2} wipe data, wipe cache, wipe dalvik cache, wipe battery stats
3} install rom again and reboot.
    Hope it helps :)

    3. Increase Internal Memory- http://www.epiblog.in/2013/02/free-up-internal-memory-android.html

      Increase RAM- http://www.epiblog.in/2013/01/boost-your-android-increase-your-ram.html

I would recommend you to increase your RAM only if you have a Class-6 or Class-10 Memory Card :)
